Senator Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment, said he received confirmation from the Federal Ministry of Finance that the monies for infrastructure revitalization and payment of earned allowances have been released to the 38 institutions.

He explained that the Revitalisation Fund is about N30 billion, while Earned Academic Allowance is worth N22.5 billion.

The minister went on to say that the government is looking forward to resolving the remaining issues in the agreement, such as inaccuracies in the computation of some employees’ pay and renegotiation of contracts.
