The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that applicants and visitors under the age of 18 will not be needed to produce proof of COVID-19 vaccination before entering JAMB test venues and facilities across the country in 2022.
Only individuals identified under the NCDC vaccination policy are required to present immunization cards, according to Fabian Benjamin, the head of JAMB’s media and protocol unit. He went on to say that the board uncovered numerous juvenile candidates had lied about their ages in order to be vaccinated in order to use JAMB’s services.
Candidates will be asked to show documentation of being under the age of 18 to gain access to the board’s facilities, according to the board.
The directive, according to Fabian, was put in place to protect the public as well as the Board’s staff from the scourge of coronavirus.
