The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), often known as WAEC (West African Examination Council), is a crucial element of a Nigerian student’s academic journey.

It is also perhaps the most difficult because it is the final external examination that a secondary school student takes before beginning their tertiary studies.

Getting a distinction frequently represents a secondary school leaver’s unrivaled intellectual prowess, which is graded in the A, B, C, D, E, and F grading levels. Legit.ng will examine four pupils who excelled on the exam in this article.

1. Yinka-Banjo Victory

After receiving consecutive A’s in her WAEC in 2020, the 17-year-old was praised for her academic brilliance. Victory also excelled in other foreign tests such as the IELTS.
