Dr. Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin, the owner of Oduduwa University, has been detained in connection with the death of a student at Obafemi Awolowo University. See the table below for further information.
Dr. Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin, the owner of Oduduwa University and chairman of the Hilton Hotel and Resort in Ile-Ife, has been arrested in connection with the death of Timothy Adegoke, a master’s student at Obafemi Awolowo University.
Timothy’s decaying body was discovered at the motel several days after his family reported him missing on November 7. On November 5, 2021, he was believed to have traveled from Abuja to Ile-Ife to take a test at the OAU distance learning center in Moro, Osun State, but he never showed up for the exam, and his family members were unable to contact him.
Six persons were eventually detained in connection with his disappearance, and Dr Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin, the owner of the hotel and the founder of Oduduwa University, has been named as one of the murder suspects.
According to sources, when the police inquired about the student’s whereabouts, the hotel administration angrily denied having him as a guest, but after additional inquiry, the police were able to determine that Timothy had slept the night at the hotel.
In a case of alleged ritual activities, his body was later discovered in a blood-soaked hotel bedsheet/blanket and buried in a shallow grave on the hotel grounds, with some of his essential organs removed.
